The Lanesborough Country Inn is one of the newest offerings in Berkshire County's lodging accommodations.
Formerly known as the Mountain View Motel, the site has long been a tourist favorite, for its convienant location and affordability,
but when Liam and Janice Shirley purchased the property several years ago, they had a vision to bring the old reliable
property up to date, offering the latest in cutting edge technologies in spacious brand new facilities, with privacy
and comfort being the primary requirement for both the long term and short term guest.
In the summer of 2008, this vision became a reality, when the old fashion cabins were removed and in their place, ten modern
log cabins were erected. Rustic in appearance on the outside, chalet in appearance on the inside with twice the space
that one would find in any typical hotel or motel room, plush accommodations were chosen to compliment the new structures
along with large widescreen High Definition televisions and access to the dedicated T-1 internet connection.

Liam came to the United States from Ireland, bringing with him his love of antiques and aviation. Because of this, the Lanesborough
Country Inn has the most unique gift shop you will ever see in any lodging facility.
